Oakley Polarized Eyewear ($200 - $300)
reviewed by Priscilla Monteiro

Spring and summer months are just around the corner and you will need protective yet stylish sunglasses to protect your eyes from harmful sun rays and with so many competing brands on the market, it’s hard to make a sound decision. Oakley, leaders in the eye wear category, have designed polarized lenses and patented High Definition Optics (HDO) technology not only to protect from the harmful effects of UV rays to counteract cataracts – it allows users to see clearer and sharper without the distortion of ordinary lenses that strain your eyes and give you a headache.

Recently, Dr. Snyderman of “The Today Show” stated that researchers are gradually identifying key factors that may cause cataracts and pre-emptive ways that to help prevent them, but that polarized lenses are the only guarantee. Leading studies suggest that exposure to polarized lenses not only slows down the development of cataracts, but they also protect eyes from harmful UV and UVB rays and glare not to mention the reduction of light transmission and reflection from horizontal surfaces, such as snow or water, improving vision during outdoor activities. The next activity is getting to stores where Oakley sunglasses are sold.
Available at www.oakley .com, Bloomingdales and Macy’s and Solstice Stores.

Designers today from Philip Lim to Giorgio Armani have set the trend in eye wear seen on everyone from Sara Paglin to Spike Lee. Once upon a time eyeglass wearers were considered nerds. Had it not been for Dolce and Gabanna reinventing the whole Dougie Hauser movement, school kids would still be at each others throats on the back of the yellow bus. No more fighting on the bus unless you're fighting to get your hands on the finest eye wear in mens and womens fashion that luxury has to offer.
