Walter Van Beirendonck’s Nightmare on Elm Street Inspired Paris Fashion Week Runway Theme

Well here’s a show you probably don’t want to watch in the dark! Belgium designer Walter Van Beirendonck, presented a show consisting of masked models outfitted in extremely vivid and unconventional suits for his Paris fashion Week Autunm 2012.2013 runway show. Walter took his signature concept of playful colors t to the next level with the Friday the 13th masks. While posting this blog entry, all I could hear is the chilling “choo choo choo” from the actual movie just before someone is slain. There is nothing wrong with embodying gothcism especially when its done with plaids and color blocking.
Although we don’t expect to see President Barak Obama campaigning in one of these suits, the conservative yet edgy silhouettes give off a little bit of Billy Badass. It is this vey creativity that defines each designer and gives them the stamp of approval for their remarkable works of art delivered each and every season. leave the yawning for nap time, already!
