Restaurant Margaux Berlin

Margaux is a hotspot for German politicians and actors; black marble floors, antique mirrors, and sandalwood colored sofas create an elegant and intimate atmosphere.
The Michelin-starred chef Michael Hoffman adds an experimental twist to traditional French fare and offers a “Voyage de Cuisine”; a multi course meal that includes such culinary specialties as charcoal-smoked pollock, served with oyster-chives parfait, salad of sea urchin, and cockles. Reservations are a must.

Together with our dedicated team, we want to make your visit a happy and exceptional experience that you will remember with joy.

Fiaschetteria Toscana Venice

This perennially highly rated spot is abundantly decorated with Venetian glass lamps, amusing prints and painted plates from restaurants all over Italy’s north. Upon entering this overly bright, elegant and relatively small place — there might be 40 seats — you see a refrigerator case with the offerings of the day’s fish. Monkfish cheeks are served, not unexpectedly, perfectly fried and about 30 seconds out of the oil. The tiny, sweet razor clams, like most of the food there are ungarnished and served as if they needed nothing else, which was indeed the case. A fine salad, made on the spot, features tiny arugula and Treviso; grilled white polenta is as good as it can be; and the fresh black pasta with local lobster is intensely flavored. Finish with a full-bodied, fat, rich Soave with a fantastic selection of cheese, all from northern Italy. The custard fried in butter and sugar, which is prepared in the dining room and scents the air with a strong aroma, is worth the splurge.

Rampoldi Monte Carlo

More than any other restaurant in Monte Carlo, Rampoldi is linked to the charming but somewhat dated interpretation of La Dolce Vita. Opened in the 1950s at the edge of the Casino Gardens and staffed with a mix of old and new, it’s more Italian than French in spirit. It also serves some of the best cuisine in Monte Carlo. Menu items include an array of pastas, such as tortellini with cream and white-truffle sauce, sea bass roasted in a salt crust, ravioli stuffed with crayfish, and veal kidneys in Madeira sauce. Crêpes Suzette make a spectacular finish.
